Beautiful! I'm trying to cultivate a meadow feel on our front lawn and won't let DH mow it just yet. It's got daisies, speedwell, eyebright and what looks like a campion. Earlier in the Spring it was covered in violets :-)
Thats a meadow like I remember them from my youth......laying on my back watching the clouds above and the tall buttercups wafting round above my head too! Oh memories....magical pics
I love your angle on the flowers -- meadow-level. The stone walls in England are fascinating. I would love to visit again and see more of them and walk through the meadows you picture so beautifully!
Oh Julia, what GORGEOUS photos... You have really captured the essence of an English meadow, and also of balmy summer days and buttercups under your chin to see if you like butter! Your photography just gets better and better!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog and for your birthday wishes. Actually my birthday hasn't started out well. My day usually starts at least 2 hours later than everyone else's but this a.m. my beloved hubby woke me at 7 by unblocking the drain in the bathroom - weird noises followed by massive gurglings in the bedroom washbasin! Then I woke again at 8 to the most awful smell and the fact he's gone off (metal detecting?) and not brought me any milk for my tea, so I went down to get it, and put the extractor fan on! I can't imagine what he had for breakfast... I'm now resigned to being awake! Hubbies...
What a gorgeous meadow, and such lovely weather too
