Crazy colour

Now I don't do "Vintage" (although I love the work of bloggers who do) and I don't often do pale and atmospheric (ditto) but I do love vibrant colour and patterns (although I know it's not everyone's cup of tea so to speak). So to show you what I like I took a photo of old railway carrriage connecting doors and played about with it, using selection and move tools, with a bit of glowing edges. displacement and saturation thrown in. One of these days I may even get around to printing it onto fabric and adding stitch. But don't hold your breath ...

  1. They are both great pictures, I love the changes you have made to the second one with the glowing edges, displacement and saturation. Certainly cheers up a very dull day!! Have a good weekend, Jackie in Surrey.

  2. I love your blog today, it made me laugh. I know the feeling of wanting to do so much and never getting round to half I would like to. By the way did you see the rusty hoe with pond weed on it? Posted just for you this Monday.

I love colour too, vibrant and bright but I also like cool and calm, I like both ends of the spectrum. I love texture too.

  7. It's always good to see what inspires others. It wouldn't do if we were all the same. I do like the idea of your transferring your photo to fabric and adding stitch and would love to see it if you do that xo

  8. It's amazing what you can do with all these tweaks, it still feels like a foreign language to me ;) Great pic! and it would look wonderful in stitch!

  9. I do love the pic & what you've done to it is wild! Fabulous colors, altho I do like a bit of sun silvered wood with a little rusted edge to it..... ;) I just love what I'm seeing at the time!

  12. I love the photo of the carriage door and what you have done with it. I also go for very bright colours and I think I might have been influenced by being on the computer a lot. What do you think?
