Clementine setup
As part of Kim's course The Studio' I've been playing around with a clementine (only one left in the fruit bowl!) and an old jam jar. The setup is in the hall with a glass door to the left. The cheesecloth backdrop has been stuck to the wall with masking tape and the base is a tile from a DIY store. Some light has been bounced back onto the scene with a white foam board (black on one side) balanced on a chair. I'm always fascinated to see others' setups, so this might be a small glimpse into the 'portable studio' which is a too grand name for what is a table and a chair! Texture used is kk_magic waterfront, 24-70 lens.

Thank you for your kind words, and your prayers are very much appreciated. We are optimistic about the outcome and I'm trying not to imagine the unimaginable! Scan tomorrow p.m.
ReplyDeleteI love your clementine setup! So nice to see how you staged it. I really like the tablecloth which complements the fruit so well, and the beautiful old marmalade jar.
Thanks again!

It just goes to show that it doesn't take a lot of gadgets to set up a photo shoot. Well done! I like the finished 'product'.
ReplyDeleteI tend to chase the sun round the house but then you don't want glare, of course! Nice clean shots but I love your tulip!
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea to use the cheesecloth as a backdrop!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another lovely comment, Julia - the waiting is the worst, but we'll get through it. I am feeling quite positive about things really.

Thank you for your encouraging comment and your continuing prayers! I try to keep positive but have my moments... even though the news is good, in that we have been told that the cancer has not spread beyond the bowel, I still have to have surgery (not sure when yet, and the uncertainty isn't helping!!) and possibly chemo afterwards, but they are sure that this will deal with the problem completely. I just want it over and done with now, but am soooo not looking forward to the operation.

Great shots....such lovely colours.....I especially like the shadow and the blur in the last one.
ReplyDeleteI love this, wonderful set up and textures
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, Julia, and for your continuing prayers. Things continue to be extremely difficult and still no progress with Mum. I am in a pretty fragile state emotionally atm and it's not helping me prepare for surgery this time next week, and I'm getting increasingly terrified of the whole thing!!

Clementines are a beautiful and tasty fruit. I like seeing how you set this shot up.
ReplyDeleteGreat set up! I liked your kiwi photo too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on the latest, Julia. It's the absolute pits, isn't it. Still, nothing to be done but wait for yet another date...
