I finally got round to making a light box following the excellent instructions in
Rosie's blog. My box should have been a bit bigger but as I often shoot in macro it does just fine. As we have two large windows at each end of the lounge I didn't use any lights and it seemed to work all right. I may have to use lights if it is a dull day, but so far I think I got away with it. Edited in LR and Elements, no textures.
Thanks for sharing the post on how to make a light box. I've never used one and often wondered how one got shots like that with a white background. Your photos came out beautifully. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI think I would like to make one before spring arrives! I need to use my macro lens more often!
ReplyDeleteMy son helped me make one a couple of weeks ago. I was glad to read Rosie's tips on the white background as I haven't been able to get quite the right white that I'd like. Thanks for sharing this with us. The flower is striking.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful Julia!! I've been pondering making one too. The flower photos turned out so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLovely results and thanks for sharing the link.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your light box, Julia.
ReplyDeleteYou will find so many uses for it, especially when the weather is less than favorable.
Happy day to you!
Great photographs, love the light box. As you know I am hopeless at anything creative which needs patience and creativity so I will just enjoy your photographs. Thank you for the comment on my recent blog. Jackie.x
ReplyDeleteWell done.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Thanks for posting this Julia. Great shots of the flower.
ReplyDeleteNow, about getting that macro lens I've craved ...
Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love your light box ~ what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLovely one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea and beautiful shots!!!
ReplyDeleteA very clever and simple idea. Love the flower, too. I am having problems photographing things in my new ARTHaven because I always seem to cast a shadow across what I am doing when I bring the camera in close. Maybe this is the way forward!
