Intriguing photo, Julia! A very happy new year to you too, and thank you for your great comment on my blog to start my new year. Looking back over the past year, I really don't know how we've managed to do it all, and I'm amazed at how much has changed in such a short time. The Lord's hand has certainly been on everything, and has quietly steered us along the right paths, and organised all the timing perfectly, even down to the time that He called Dad home.
I hope the coming year is full of creative inspiration and joy for you, too. Enthusiasm for learning new things and creating new projects keeps one young and alive!!
Love your new blog header, Julia! Very stylish. Thanks for the great comment - yes, I feel a burst of new-found freedom with my new buggy, and am looking forward to better weather so I can take advantage of it more. Years ago, my school friend who used to live in N. Yorks, took us to Durham for a day, and we visited the Cathedral - I adore the solid Norman architecture - in those days I was fit and well, and we climbed all the way to the top of the tower! (Coming down was worse - my knees gave out on me and I could hardly stand up when we got to the bottom!) What absolutely magnificent views of the stunning old city, nestling in the loop of the river. I loved it!
I am definitely thinking of getting a bus pass, as long as I can make it to the bus stop. If I can't, there's not much point!
Thanks for another nice comment - yes, this will be a fitting memorial to Dad. If things had been different I'd have completed it before he died, and shown it at his funeral but I was unable to do anything for months because everything was packed up for the move. It's better this way in the end because I've got more material, and it's a lovely focus on the dad I remember from the past. not the one in decline.
Happy New Year, Julia!
ReplyDeleteLove it! :) All the best for the New Year to you and your family
ReplyDeleteSame to you, have a great year of 2014!
