In the porch

Today the sun was nice and bright in the porch (English porch - not the nice big sort you can sit out in!) so I took this pic of a few rusty bits and pieces which I've picked up along the way, as lots of bloggy friends seem to do. It's the textures and colours that appeal. Not quite the usual porch decoration!

  1. Oh for a porch to stash stuff from walks, we just have a pile of shoes as soon as you walk in the door.

  3. I think it's great we like collecting rust & many other things, we naturally collect the flotsam & jetsom of others' dicarded lives & we've got to put it somewhere! I might take a pic of my porch if I remember (it's north facing, tho ;( ) No light but a fabulous view ;) From desks to porches ;)

  4. What a beautiful, warm color combination! And you captured the textures perfectly; weathered metal is such a cool subject for a still life. Great picture!

  11. Maybe junk in some people's eyes, but looks like a treasure the way you've captured it here - beautiful colours.
