I used one of my own photos and two of Kim Klassen's textures to create this agapanthus image and was interested to find out that the name comes from the Greek agape (love) and panthos (flower).
Enjoying the half term holiday here - we took two of the grandsons to the Discovery Museum yesterday and also got involved with lots of Ludo and Snakes and Ladders - only thing lacking is endless energy and stamina!
One of my favourite flowers I never seem able to grow! Beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week
Oh looking forward to the joys of grandparenting and you get to give them back :). I like the texture backdrop, very nice sets your flower off beautifully
ReplyDeleteAgapanthus are one of my favourite plants - a lovely image. Enjoy the rest of half term!
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia
ReplyDeleteI love agapanthus although the two I have in the garden are certainly waiting for some sunshine. I love the way you have created this picture, I have been looking at Kim's textures and have signed up to hear more from her. Lack of energy and stamina is what is worrying me when my new grandson is born in May!!!
We went to the GWR Museum in Swindon on Sunday I will post later in the week about the visit.
Enjoy your time with the children during half term, Jackie in Surrey.
Oh, lovely, looking forward to mune coming out this summer, it'll be a while yet!
ReplyDeleteLooks good Julia :-) Don't wear yourselves out!
ReplyDeleteLove your image. Agapanthus is one of my favourite flowers, they remind me of my holiday to New Zealand and of course holidays to Cornwall.
ReplyDeleteYou did good!! This looks like it could be on a calendar or picture postcard! I took Kim K's skinny mini course and learned a lot! Now if I could just keep practicing. I posted a barn photo with 2 of her textures also. Looks like we are on the same page (well almost!) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLovely - my friend.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could bottle the energy! Lovely photo and what a great purple that flower has. Nice little history lesson too Julia, thanks. xox Corrine
