When I lived in Blyth (UK) we had a wonderful butcher's called Maddison's. Always busy, double queues ( we love queues) their products were so tasty, especially the sausages. I really missed those sausages Then it closed down and the shop bought by another butcher. Decades later I have just discovered that this butcher bought the secret sausage recipe and sells them in a shop 5 minutes away from my house. I've been deprived of them all these years so thought they deserved a photo!
I must find out more about sausage recipes. I know there are spices you can add that come in packets but that is no fun. Right now I would love a wild boar sausage :D
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy, Julia, and how fortunate you ere to find them again!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking I could use a little bedtime snack. Now I have a craving for sausage. They look delicious!
ReplyDeletethat shot is making me hungry and longing for bangers and beans!!
ReplyDeleteLol Julia, what a fun post! My hubby is the sausage fan in this family. Thanks for your lovely comment, and my treatment is progressing well. They help at every stage of the way as long as I tell them everything that's happening so they know what to produce to improve things. Not feeling too bad 2 days post-treatment no. 5, and with increased steroids hopefully I won't crash mid-week this time. As for thinking of others, it prevents me thinking of myself all the time and getting miserable lol!

Nothing better than a great home made sausage! I'm glad to hear you found a butcher that has the recipe and I love that you shared this photo with us. It looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a nice comment, Julia - I am feeling a bit better today and hoping for better again tomorrow. I've lots to do and keen to get on! I should have a week anyway, before the next one. Glad you like the dress - it's going to make a great studio smock, and I'll make a "proper" dress if I like it!
