  5. And the same to you Julia - at least we seem to be having proper April weather here in Bedfordshire - chilly, dull and damp. It goes against the grain to hope for rain, but it is desperately needed.

  6. We got 15 cm. of wet snow here today for Easter and it's only about 2 C. Showers and warmer temperatures for the week ahead though. Happy Easter!

  9. There was a skiff of snow here this morning. Spring is being a tad temperamental.

[the flower is either a mum or a dahlia; the color was more lavender than what the photo shows]

  10. Oooh a lovely wintery landscape, Julia! I don't mind the cold if it's nice and bright and crisp!

Thanks for your comment on my blog, and glad you like the zentangles. As for my blog, if you hop over now, you'll see the next (almost final!) stage in its revamp. There's still a bit of work to do because the background I have designed is coming out with a dark layer over the top of it and you can't see the lovely colours! I've got a friend helping and hopefully she'll come up with a solution to this problem. The header is now full width as intended. I've had awful problems getting it all right, and we're not quite there yet!!

    Hugs,

  11. Hi Julia, me again... Thanks for your comment on my blog. I had to revamp the post about the vintage backgrounds yesterday because for some reason all the pictures had disappeared (blasted blogger...) and when I re-uploaded it, it went up with yesterday's date! It's back in January 2011 where it belongs now, though. Glad you liked it!

I did know about making your own stamps in Photoshop - not sure if you can do it in Serif PhotoPlus but will have to investigate. It does pretty much everything else!

Glad you like my new blog background. I'm not there yet as it is coming out too dark, but I'm working on it with some help from a friend. It was much harder than I thought, but worth it in the end!

    Hugs,
    Shoshi

  12. Thanks for your latest comment, Julia. I couldn't have done the new background on my own - I have various friends on forums and blog hops who are a lot cleverer than I am who have helped me out! It's still not perfect but hopefully I'll be able to sort it soon.

  14. Hi Julia, if you look at my earlier post "New Blog Background - Work in Progress" you will see what I did, using different images of previous work and making a montage in photo editing software. The hardest part was getting blogger to do what I wanted, but that's no great surprise lol! Glad you like it, anyway.
