Book

It was the dedication of our latest grandchildren on Sunday. This psalm is a lovely reminder of how precious we all are in God's sight - sometimes easy to forget in the varied circumstances we find ourselves in, no matter what age we are or how long our lives last.

  1. My favourite Psalm too and I love the bit where it talks about "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast" and I have done a few flying to the far sides of the sea in my time and would you believe it, he's still there :)

  2. A lovely post on a profound Psalm ! Coincidentally our pastor's sermon was based on this Psalm this Sunday - The Joy of Being A Child !

  3. Thank you for sharing this, Julia! It's a beautiful Psalm. A friend of mine's grandson had it for his dedication, and she embroidered a large silk wrap for him, with the words of the Psalm all around the edge. I celebrated 27 years of being a believer in Jesus on Thursday, and this Psalm reminds me that even though for me the date of my new beginning was 22nd Sept. 1984, for God it was before I was formed in my mother's womb!!
