Old and new flowers

Two different uses of flowers - the first a macro image of a clematis with one of my textures, the second a small textile piece using dried, pressed hydrangeas, together with embellished cocoon strippings, stitches and beads added. But where has all the warm weather gone! Even the newly-planted sunflowers have taken a battering in the wind - and they are all part of a competition!

  1. Lovely images Julia and I like your hydrangea piece. This weather is very strange isn't it? We haven't had any proper rain for weeks and the gardens are all parched. Sorry to hear about your sunflowers. Maybe they'll recover.

  2. I really like your stitched piece Ju.

The weather here is pretty bad too, we think our pond which we thought wouldn't fill may even have overflowed now - not what we wanted. At least my sunflowers are not for a competition and only just poking through the soil in a tray on the windowsill
