Variations on a theme

Two altered images from the rose petal photo - one of these two will be printed onto fabric and stitched (at least that's the intention!). Don't know which I prefer. Hmm ...

  1. Just been catching up on your posts which are stunning. My favourite image would be the second one.

  2. I love the first photograph but then I am not very artistic and creative and prefer all natural!!! Best wishes from Jackie in a very sunny Surrey, hope you have the same.

  3. Do both.
I always think 'if in doubt do both and call it 'variation on a theme'"

  5. Same as Maggie. I like the colours of the first but the second looks more like a picture in the making. That wasn't explained well! :)

  10. I just love these photos, I can't even begin to imagine how you get the image onto fabric, but embelishing with stitching opens so many creative opportunities. One of the things I would like to do with my photography is more manipulation and abstraction...back in the dark ages I was a printmaker...I miss that. The weather is yucky again here today. I think photoshop may get some action, your work is so inspiring.

  12. Hello! Just found your wonderful creative place here in blogland--and marveling over this shape & color play! Your art is inspirational! I've been a jewelry & fiber artist for sometime. And I still do these things. But after some years of having left aside my paints & brushes, I've taken them up again and am at my easel again--and it's wonderful! I've begun sharing about this at my blog too. Anyway, great to meet you! :o)
