All of these engines have a story to tell if we only knew. I like the way there are "pictures within pictures" where each has a separate part to play. ( "You're getting into the realms of fantasy there Jones") ...
I love the shots you have caught and shared. I am going to look up Tanfield on the internet. I love old trains, we were watching Songs of Praise the other day from the Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon, which we have never visited and it isn't too far away. http://www.steam-museum.org.uk/steam.htm or revisit the Watercress Line or the Bluebell Railway!!
