Just back from an amazing week in the north-west corner of Scotland where the weather was for the most part more like that of a Greek island (not often you can say that!) and the scenery spectacular.
This was the view from our chalet near Lochinver - very quiet, with lots of bird life and deer which came down to the water at dusk and dawn. The views were amazing and the roads , often single-track, nearly empty.
How about this lovely rusty roof! This was on the walk from Lochinver to the beach at Achmelvich.
More pics later!
oh my goodness! That confirms it..I'm just unlucky.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it.
I thought you'd been a bit quiet round here. It looks idyllic. Can't wait to see some more. (I now have to go off and Google Lochinver.)
ReplyDeleteWOW- beautiful.
ReplyDeleteUsed to go to Achmelvich for my holidays, run wild among the rocks and bays, swim in the sea. Glory!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of a beautiful place. Love those dramatic skies too. Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time and that the weather was so good for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, absolutely gorgeous photos. My fave is the stormy sky and ruin :o)
ReplyDeleteStunning dramatic skies and landscapes - your photographs are show-stoppers.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, we've had it great, here, too. Poor Jackie! Rusty rooves round here have a habit of turning into corrugated plastic, if you please. I'll have to record some more!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs. That chalet looks in the right place for me with all that beautiful landscape and the quietness. Jackie in Surrey
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. Think you pretty well covered all the places we visited in June when we stayed at Clachtoll! Cocoa Mountain is good isn't it. Love the ruin and stormy sky photo. Full of atmosphere. Glad you had a nice time.
