Moving on

Using the image of the crop of the cut glass jug, I played in Photoshop and added  a topaz filter.  The selection was  made with the magic wand (sounds very Harry Potter-ish!).

  5. Fun to see the transition from the first "what is it?" to now. I really like the color combination in the first one.

  6. That's a terrific effect Julia. They look like delicate crystal formations.

  7. Wow Julia - love your latest effort! Truly beautiful. It's amazing what you can do with a bit of jiggery pokery with a photo editor, isn't it!! This one is like a kind of crystalline matrix. I wonder if I could make a tangle pattern from it...

Thanks for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you like my new album. I'm very pleased with it, and am enjoying the ongoing process of filling it with ATCs of all my favourite patterns.

Hope you are having a great week! Mine started off badly health wise but much better now, thank goodness - time to crack on with my spoke guard project!!

  8. Thanks Julia, I like the effect you've done, it reminds me of cut away applique.

  9. Thanks for your lovely comment, Julia, and I'm glad you like my photos. That one of my hubby and Beatrice is one of my favourites! If you hop over to my Youtube channel (Shoshiplatypus) there's a video of him giving her some Dreamies, which is really, really sweet! I always tell him all this affection is nothing but cupboard love...

Hope you have had a good week.
