Too cold and wet to go outside to find something to photograph, then I remembered that I had cut some hydrangea heads before the bad weather set in, so I spent a happy half hour photographing this with the 50mm lens, adding a Kim Klassen texture and using the 'angelic wars' font. I think the quote was from a psalm in Eugene Peterson's The Message. Something to remember, whether the feeling goes with
it or not!
Love it, seems time stood still.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Lovely Hydrangea and love the way you have added the textures. I still am hopeless at that!!
ReplyDeleteVery best wishes for 2013. Jackie in Surrey.
This is beautiful! I don't think that hour was wasted on this beauty. Blessings for the New Year. Pamela
ReplyDeleteBeautifully realised Julia.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a rich oil painting. Blessings for a wonderful New Year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a picture to finish a dying year on :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo, Julia. I particularly love the shape the leaves make, which frames the text most wonderfully, and also leads one into the picture. Gorgeous subtle colours - I love that dusky, faded pink. I've not come across that font before - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and comment - glad you like my first Zentangle design! I hope it gets recognised!
A very happy New Year to you too.
