From white ... to black

An amazing laser display in the skies above the NE coast a few miles from us. This was taken from the car park at St Mary's Island at Whitley Bay. Worth a visit if you are near - it runs until the weekend.

  1. Wow, that is really interesting. What is the occasion for? It looks like the Olympic colours. Have a lovely weekend.

  2. I always enjoy your photographs Julia - I can remember queuing for hours at the RA to see the ground breaking laser and hologram show in the 70's, they still have the ability to amaze.

  3. Not sure how long you've had your new background but I'm liking it. Impressive lightshow.

  4. I would love to see something like that...i usually prefer natural displays, but like it is here on July 4th, a sky show can be fun too!

  8. Cooool pic, Julia!! Very sharp.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. To make a brooch I think I'd have to dip it in UTEE or make it from something else - card would be too delicate. I'm hoping to decorate a box with these.
